I love your red eyelids

That shed so many tears for me

As if the sea took the lands away

So did lands take you from me

I paint your lashes in crimson

A brutal June

Fate won’t alter this season

Your overcoat still hangs in the gloom

I kiss you with memories shared

Our hearts divided by the river's stare

We are lovers with blood so rare

Lying together in an oak’s lair
